As one of the most romantic and beautiful places on earth, The Cayman Islands are the perfect choice for a honeymoon. It’s a truly authentic Caribbean experience set against a sophisticated backdrop of high class yet laid back night life. There’s also a wide choice of leisure activities should you choose to tear yourselves away from one of the most stunning beaches on the planet!

Book into The Westin Resort and Spa on the world-famous and top-rated Seven Mile Beach and you might think your honeymoon stops here! The view is breath-taking, set right on this superb stretch of beach, the staff are wonderful, the food at each of the Resort’s restaurants is exquisite and the Spa offers his and hers pampering like no other. There’s also a wide selection of water-sports available.

Your day might start with a leisurely breakfast on your own patio or balcony, followed by a romantic walk along the white powder sands of Seven Mile Beach. Perhaps then hire a car for a little island exploration and head out to George Town, the nation’s capital. Stop off for a coffee and something sweet to eat at Bread & Chocolate in the heart of town and then head east, to the National Trust for the Cayman Islands on South Church Street. There you will find a plethora of information about fascinating parks and places of interest that will tell you more about our great island. Cross the road to Pure Art and treat each other to a special keepsake of your honeymoon. Continue to drive east until you get to Breakers, where the spectacular views will wow you along with the lovely food at The Lighthouse restaurant, that’s nestled right on the edge of the coastline.

After lunch, continue up towards Kaibo Beach, in the district of North Side, a beautiful seaside spot where the cocktails are divine and the laid back atmosphere exactly what you would expect in your Caribbean honeymoon. If the time is right, you might be able to take a once in a lifetime bioluminescence kayak tour with Cayman Kayaks, a truly remarkable experience that will stay with you both forever.

During your stay you should definitely take a trip up to West Bay to Catch in Morgan’s Harbour for a lovely romantic lunch overlooking the ocean. Calypso Grill is a beautiful spot also at Morgan’s Harbour and is a huge hit with visitors and locals alike for its authentic Caribbean vibe and scrumptious cuisine. If you decide to lunch or dine in the evening along Seven Mile Beach, The Wharf sits at the very start of this magnificent stretch of beach overlooking the twinkling ocean, offering the freshest fish, beautifully prepared served in an incredibly romantic setting.

A trip to Cayman should always include a browse of our fabulous duty-free stores, especially when on honeymoon – when better than to treat your loved one to a very special piece of jewellery or watch? Kirk Freeport has a magnificent selection of stores, its flagship being Bayshore Mall on the George Town harbour front. Kirk Freeport’s selection of jewellery, watches, cosmetics, perfumes and a whole host of other luxury items really is second-to-none and well worth a visit to take advantage of those brilliant duty-free prices!
