Overlooking the start of the award-winning Seven Mile Beach, The Wharf couples exceptional dining experiences with culinary excellence. While you may want to soak up this gorgeous location sitting outside on the spacious deck, if you dine inside you will be able to appreciate the newly refurbished indoor bar which caters to the fully renovated indoor dining room. Its contemporary and relaxed design adds to the overall ambiance and heightens the enjoyment of the cuisine, which is fine dining at its best.
Feast on dishes as elegant as the surroundings, such as seared tuna and crab cakes for appetisers and baked sea bass in a basil pistachio crust, with a creamy champagne sauce or homemade seafood pasta, filled to the brim with shrimp, lobster chunks, scallops, mussels, spinach, sundried tomatoes, basil, all in a creamy champagne sauce. Also on the menu are some delightful tapas dishes, ingenious cocktails and an impressive and varied wine list.
The view is one of the best on island, with a panorama that stretches as far as the eye can see. Come for lunch and dinner, enjoy happy hour at the Ports of Call ocean-side bar every day from 4pm until 6.30pm, dance salsa on Tuesdays, and enjoy tarpon feeding sessions at 7.30 and 9pm nightly. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
Nothing beats dining in a superb restaurant with a backdrop of the Caribbean Sea and if it’s a breathtaking view you’re after, The Wharf’s sister restaurant Grand Old House is also a must-visit. Located on South Sound, a five-minute drive east of George Town, it is one of the most picturesque dining establishments on Grand Cayman. Built-in 1908 as a plantation house, this historical building was turned into a restaurant in the late Sixties and brings an abundance of old world charm and combines it with exquisite cuisine and, of course, an incredible panoramic view of the ocean.
Dine here for lunch and dinner, feast on the freshest seafood, indulge your sweet tooth with desserts such as their signature banana sticky toffee pudding, choose from their award-winning wine list and all the while drink in the beauty of the location. Dine outside on the expansive waterfront deck or inside in the magnificent house – in the main Colonial Dining Room, or in one of the private dining rooms such as the opulent Wine Room surrounded by some extraordinary vintages.
