As a sophisticated holiday and business destination welcoming visitors and residents from all corners of the globe, the Cayman Islands needs to cater to a wide variety of tastes. As a result, we have a fantastic selection of top class restaurants cooking up delicious cuisine from all around the world.

Asian cuisine is popular all over the world, and we have a great selection of Asian restaurants for you to try out here in Grand Cayman. Mizu on the Camana Bay waterfront does the best Nasi Goreng on island and their sake cocktails are the bomb. Thai Orchid creates a warm ambiance and offers tasty Thai cuisine always beautifully presented, while Wok ‘N Roll is a unique Asian-inspired restaurant with a rock and roll theme. Yoshi Sushi offers some of the island’s best sushi along with inspired Asian dishes such as their ginger beef on crispy noodles, Yakitori (marinated and grilled chicken skewers) and firecracker shrimp spring rolls.

Italian restaurants abound with this ever-popular cuisine. Ristorante Papagallo in West Bay does authentic northern Italian dishes to die for, while Casanova by the Sea offers a warm welcome from its cheery staff and a slew of pasta and pizza dishes like mamma used to make. Ragazzi in Buckingham Square is extremely popular, especially with families and their wood burning oven makes brilliant pizzas, while Gino’s Pizzeria is a popular location on West Bay Road for take-out, offering well-priced and delicious pizza.

Anchor & Den at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort offers the ultimate comfort food menu that is globally inspired. From the famous Mercado next to the Paseo De Gracia in Barcelona, to the best sushi restaurants in California, their chefs travel around the world to find inspiration and the concepts that they bring back to Grand Cayman is nothing short of the best. Anchor & Den is a gathering place to reunite, reconnect and relax where guests can grab a bite, cozy up to a book or spend time with family and friends.

Anchor & Den’s Niman ranch short rib salad

This innovative space is unique due to the diversity of what’s on offer, including a fresh juice bar, gelato stand, creperie station, raw and sushi bar and the ultimate comfort food menu depending on the time of day. The Anchor Bar is fast becoming a favourite spot to gather and reconnect. Here guests have the perfect view of their Botanical Station, which showcases the ingredients that have inspired their weekly beverage creations. Herbal infusions on offer at their Apothecary Happy Hour change every Friday and highlight their passion for old vintage classic drinks used as a base for many creations, with the addition of their own unique twist. Their Our Gin & Tonic menu is also a crowd pleaser and features creative combinations such as Gin & Flowers and Candy Blueberry G&T.

Agua’s ceviche

If you visit Agua in the West Shore Centre on West Bay Road you will find there isn’t really a better reflection of truly international cuisine. Opened by friends Walter Fajette and Cristiano Vincentini, Agua has a broad base of culinary experience from which to draw. Their chefs hail from all over the world: from Peru, Italy, Mexico, India and more, and as a result their cuisine is a melting pot of flavours, beautifully put together to tempt the eyes and the taste buds. Try their ceviche or ‘Tris Tiradito’ (three ‘tiraditos’ in a single dish), close your eyes and you are on a trip to Peru, enjoy fresh pastas – try short ribs ravioli or lobster & shitake ravioli – and it’s off to Italy, and enjoy their best-selling tuna tartare with avocado for a generally mind-blowing experience. Everything is absolutely fresh, straight from the sea, the ground or the land.
