Best places for families to eat on Cayman

Cayman is a big draw for vacationers with families and there are plenty of restaurants across the island that welcome younger guests serving up a good variety of culinary offerings to tempt the younger generation that is broader than the ubiquitous chicken nuggets and chips!

Italian restaurant Ragazzi on Seven Mile Beach has to be a family favourite. The pizzas are baked in a wood burning oven for an authentic taste of Italy and half portions of pasta mean little ones are well catered to. The staff are always friendly and the experience is consistently excellent.

Who doesn’t love a good barbecue? It doesn’t come much better than the Westin’s Beach Barbecue, held every Friday night at the Tortuga Beach Bar and Grill overlooking the famous silky sands and clear blue ocean of Seven Mile Beach. The perfect place for families to relax and soak up all that’s great about your Caribbean vacation. Kick off your shoes, feel the sand between your toes and the Westin will show you what it means to unwind and have fun!

If you fancy an eat-in or take-out family-friendly meal that’s flavourful, well-priced and hearty, Chicken! Chicken! is hard to beat. Located in the Westshore Centre off Seven Mile Beach (known as the ‘pink’ plaza), Chicken! Chicken! provides rotisserie chicken that’s packed full of delicious herby flavour and served with a selection of sides of your choice. Cornbread and garlicky mashed potatoes are a must.

Michael’s Genuine in Camana Bay offers dining indoors in their classy yet comfortable interior. But if you have little ones, dining outdoor on their lovely patio is ideal. It’s incredibly family-friendly as you can keep a careful eye on the kids enjoying the location’s water fountains while you relax and enjoy the excellent food, varied happy hour cocktails and lovely water-side views.
