DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM SEEKS HOSPITALITY HOSTS AND ENTERTAINERS
U.S. Virgin Islands, October 1, 2012 – The Department of Tourism is seeking hospitality hosts and hostesses to welcome visitors, provide island information and assist guests on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John.
Applications for contracted employment may be picked up at the Department of Tourism offices on Strand Street in Frederiksted, St. Croix; the Elainco Building (across from the Nisky Moravian School) and the John McCleverty Welcome Center at the Havensight cruise ship dock on St. Thomas; and at the Visitors’ Center in Cruz Bay, St. John.
In addition, entertainers including musicians, dancers, and other performing artists who are interested in performing for visitors should visit the Department of Tourism offices to provide demos and prices.
As most cruise calls to St. Croix are scheduled during the weekdays, the Department seeks entertainers with flexible schedules available to work during the week.
Entertainers who have worked with the Department of Tourism in the past are also urged to contact the Department to update their files. All entertainers are required to have an appropriate Virgin Islands business license.
For more information regarding either work or entertainment opportunities, please contact Ernest Knight at 340-775-0021 on St. Thomas/St. John, or Alvin Milligan at 340-772-0357 on St. Croix.
