With an increasing amount of travelers that consider themselves “foodies”, new local tasting tours are popping up throughout the Caribbean in locations like San Juan and Turks & Caicos. However, Grand Cayman is leading the charge with the Flavour Tour at Camana Bay, offering tastes of culinary delights like lionfish, fresh passion fruit and scotch bonnet. Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., Camana Bay, a 600-acre destination located between Seven Mile Beach and the North Sound, hosts the fun and interactive way to sample some of the island’s top local culinary offerings. The progressive dinner features local ingredients presented in the signature styles of popular Camana Bay restaurants. Start the evening with a champagne toast at West Indies Wine Company then enjoy four small plate courses complemented by featured cocktail pairings before returning to West Indies Wine Company for a final tasting.

The price for the Flavour Tour is CI $69 per ticket. Guests can also arrange private tours for groups of 12-20 people starting at 6 p.m. On Dec. 17, travelers can partake in a special Flavour Tour that is sure to get participants into the holiday spirit with a four-course tasting tour featuring traditional holiday fare made with local ingredients.
