PDRA NAMES ARUBA AS ITS OFFICIAL VACATION DESTINATION

By Tristan Ralston on 11th March, 2014

PITTSBORO, N.C. March 11, 2014:  The newly established Professional Drag Racers Association has already begun to turn heads and cause the racing world to take notice before their inaugural season has had its first event. The young organization has quickly found favor with racers, fans and sponsors, and is set up for a successful foundational year. This racer owned and operated organization is continuing its growth by naming Aruba as its ‘Official Vacation Destination’.

This announcement comes as a combined effort of the PDRA and Team Aruba, the Extreme Pro Stock team that calls the island paradise home. As the ‘Official Vacation Destination’, PDRA supporters can find quick links to Aruba vacation information on the PDRA website and will have access to additional insights at events. PDRA Race Director Bob Harris elaborated on the partnership:

“We thought that the country of Aruba would be a good fit for the PDRA for many reasons. Racers take their vacations during the winter, which is the perfect time to travel to Aruba. Plus, many racers and fans have already chosen Aruba as a regular vacation spot. And of course, Team Aruba has raced with us for many years now and their portrayal of their country has made it even more enticing. With Team Aruba at each event, this is a perfect opportunity for us to form a partnership, one that we hope will continue for many years to come.

“We have a saying among the PDRA”, continued Harris. “‘Failure is not an option.’ Our goal is to make this organization something that will last for years to come. Laying a good foundation is difficult, but we are already well on our way. We are growing our sponsor support, and I’m proud to say we have a good base of racers that are dedicated to the series. We have full time staff in place that are working hard to make this thing a success. We are not a temporary fix for eighth mile drag racing. We plan to be here for many years to come.

“It’s an honor to make Aruba our Official Vacation Destination,” Harris concluded. “Moves like this have us headed in the right direction. We’re glad to have Team Aruba on board to race with the PDRA and hope more and more Mountain Motor Pro Stock teams join us in this venture. Together we will make the PDRA something that we can all be proud of.”
