Read and Relax on Vacation Without Planning Ahead

In Grand Cayman, visitors can read and relax on vacation without having to plan ahead to bring a second book or buy a new book when they finish the one they brought.

Camana Bay, a 600-acre mixed-use development located between Seven Mile Beach and the North Sound, has created The Reading Tree, which allows guests to browse the selection, take their pick and replace it with a book they have already read. ‘Planted’ in Camana Bay’s Cassia Court, the Reading Tree was constructed and painted by local artist Chris Christian.

There are many tranquil places in Camana Bay for guests to enjoy their newly selected book. Visitors can kick back in one of the four garden courtyards—Cassia, Jasmine, Canella and Gardenia—lounge on one of the hammocks on the Island, take it easy in one of the rocking chairs overlooking the Harbour, or soak up the sun on the Crescent lawn.

Guests can share their love of reading by posting a photo at The Reading Tree with the hashtag #CamanaBay on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook from now until August 31 for a chance to win a drawing for a CI$100 Books & Books gift certificate. The Reading Tree will be open from Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
