Starfish Village Children’s Center at Camana Bay on Grand Cayman

At Camana Bay on Grand Cayman, Starfish Village makes family vacations a breeze. The unique children’s center offers programs for kids up to age 12 lasting anywhere from an hour to all day, allowing parents to enjoy a romantic lunch or explore the island while their children play, craft, and learn about the Cayman Islands.

Starfish Village is much more affordable than typical resort kids programs, and is perfect for families staying at a property with no childcare options. At Starfish Village, their Drop & Play option is only $13 per hour, and kids can participate in an all-day summer camp from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with field trips, games, education about the ocean and Caymanian culture, and enrichment activities such as dance and cooking for $70. Parents can enjoy a private boat excursion out of Camana Bay to snorkel or sail while knowing their kids are being well taken care of and participating in activities that allow them to learn and play.

Each week from June 29 to August 21, Starfish Village will host themed camps that allow families flexibility — children can spend one day at camp and enjoy the rest of the vacation with the family, or enjoy a whole week of activities tailored to their interests. During some sessions, kids can get a glimpse into Caymanian culture, from arts and crafts and story time with local authors to learning how to blow into a conch shell – perfect for parents who value showing their kids how the locals live. Future oceanographers can enjoy a field trip to Dolphin Discovery and learn about sea life in the Caribbean, and those with big imaginations will be transformed into princesses and pirates and follow a treasure map on the hunt for gold.
