Summer Events for the Entire Family, Only at Camana Bay on Grand Cayman

By Lindsey Turnbull on 18th August, 2015

Summer is in full swing, and Camana Bay, a 600-acre mixed-use development located in Grand Cayman, makes enjoying the warm weather a breeze with something for every member of the family. From cooling off in the interactive fountains, watching movies under the stars, enjoying a good book in the shade, or choosing from an array of kids’ camps, summer is sweeter at Camana Bay.

Looking for the perfect summer read? Every Monday through Sunday of the summer, visit Camana Bay’s Reading Tree in Cassia Court for a Summer Book Swap where book lovers can find titles for all ages and interests. Browse the selection, take your pick and replace it with one of your favorite books to help us spread the joy of reading!

Every Tuesday and Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m., “Bubble Hour” is the perfect late afternoon activity for adults and kids to enjoy the bubbly atmosphere on The Crescent. Kids can enjoy dancing fountains with thousands of bubbles dancing around them, while adults can unwind with CI$12 “Happy Hour” specials on glasses of Veuve Clicquot bubbly at nearby restaurants Abacus, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink and Ortanique.

On Tuesday, July 21, kids can pull their dream “car” up to the big screen for the night’s feature presentation — The Lego Movie. Families are invited to join for a very special drive-in-themed Moonlight & Movies event featuring cardboard box car crafts for kids. Families can pick up a box beginning on Wednesday, 15 July, at the Farmers & Artisans Market to begin building and painting their dream “car” at home. Crafts and supplies will be provided before the movie to complete the finishing touches.
